WHY EMC2MC?

Barry Rubery - Chairman

"I have built three business’s from the ground up, the first being Pace Plc, a business my partner and I created from ground up to become the largest manufacturer of cable, satellite and home distribution products in the world."

Pace Plc was listed on the LSE for €420,000,000.

I subsequently went on to form a Joint Venture with the giant Turkish brown and white goods manufacturer BEKO (owned by the KOC group) to create digital products for them, establish a digital brand and get them sales within Europe.

I also developed with a partner, twenty four houses on the Caribbean Island of Barbados and acquired a UK football club and was appointed to the board of the English Football League to manage the sale of the 72 clubs internet rights.

I have therefore considerable experience in understanding how to build and grow business’s in various fields and markets on a global scale but more importantly to create shareholder value.

My focus is own ensuring that I achieve those goals by offering not only the entry to the markets but ongoing support and mentoring in order to achieve those objectives so I offer my clients a true ‘hands on’ approach.

Emma-Jane McCormack - Founder and CEO

From a family of Irish French and English origins, I spent my formative years in Lebanon, Morocco and Saudi Arabia before moving to Asia (Thailand) studying for my degree at London university UCL and SOAS finally settling in Monaco.

This multi cultural background has deeply enriched my life and enabled me to understand how diverse peoples can think and be creative in different ways.

Together with my partner we have over forty years of experience and long standing solid relationships in the Middle East and in Asia.

The Middle East is a fascinating and compelling culture, some find it mysterious, but many businesses in Europe and other countries would very much like to establish themselves there, but with no idea of how to start which is where we can assist by hands on mentoring, training and introductions to local partners, thereby creating successful synergies and  joint ventures.

I worked for 12 years for a small family office based in Monaco focusing on developing technology within telecommunications and IT  sectors. The companies were all located in California which meant travelling twice a year to visit them. We were involved with various financial structuring for the above mentioned businesses including angel investing, venture capital, reverse mergers with public entities, so it was a great learning curve

After 6 years we changed our business focus to Renewable energies within Europe and concentrated on developing Wind farms in Italy and Romania.

In 2011 I left to found my own consulting business, emc2 from which emc2mc emanated.

emc2 advises clients on all aspects of corporate & business development including, strategic opportunities, global structuring, strategy and planning, partnerships and strategic alliances with businesses based between the US, Europe and the Middle East.

Together with my partner I am the co-founder of  Kasper & Kitty.com. created in 2018. A dog wellness business which provides a personalised meal plan with a portfolio of Pet Tech products which we had developed in China, and an App showing each dogs profile, activity levels and daily calorie intake enabling dog owners to maintain their dogs lifestyle and a healthy healthy balanced diet for the best possible quality of life.

In 2006 I completed an Executive MBA while working full time from the International University of Monaco with a distinction awarded for my white paper on the effects of climate change on tropical rainforests and marine biodiversity in Panama.  In 1995 I obtained a BA from University College London (UCL), and the School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS) in French literature with Arabic.
